Northwest seasons roll slowly
over one another
Low clouds, drizzle, downpours
every day
From November through March,
Where is the sun?

Still Spring keeps coming and coming
Blooming and blooming
Delicious cherry trees, tulips, rhododendrons, wisteria,
Then summer's tall flowers—hydrangea, gladiolas, cosmos
From brilliant late winter primrose and heather
to grand fall finales of dahlias and gloriosa daisies.

Gray whales in March
Deer in June
September spiders
Indian summer, fall fever.

Foggy mornings, fog horns, sunny days, trees glistening with color
Leaves change in August,
leisurely fall
until October, November
Days shorten progressively
as the tides.
Visits from a fluffy, friendly,
hopeful black cat.

Watching the Sound,
day after day of boating heaven.

Faintness of sun
Fullness of flower
Abundance of water

I fall in love with Northwest seasons.
